CARAS TEAMS UP WITH PENTÉ GROUP TO LAUNCH APP
CELEBRATING THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE JUNO AWARDS


- JUNO Awards App for iPhone, and iPod touch now available on the App Store -

TORONTO February 7, 2011 The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), along with Penté Group, launched an all new FREE JUNO Awards App available today on the App Store for iPhone, and iPod touch. The App coincides with the 40th Anniversary of the JUNO Awards and with JUNO Week 2011, taking place March 21- 27 in Toronto, ON. The JUNO Awards App is sponsored by Chevrolet.

The JUNO Awards App offers a unique mobile experience that will not only attract Canadian music fans, but also draw new audiences to exciting JUNO Week activities. The App provides details about JUNO Week including listings for all events, a searchable map to all of the festivities and ticket information. Users can also enjoy a fun and interactive 40th Anniversary Canadian music trivia game.

THE 2011 JUNO AWARDS broadcast on CTV will take place on March 27th, 2011 at the Air Canada Centre. Tickets go on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets on February 5, 2011.
